Random update
Feb. 13th, 2005 03:55 pmFor those who have heard my griping about it lately, my car is causing me problems yet again.
There was a nasty leak in my car causing it to over heat.
Added to that, the knob on my comfort contols had been stuck at defog, which means I can't set it to high heat, which helps keep the engine cool.
So needless to say, I have had some long trips to work (which normally takes about 20-30 minutes).
Well, now that it stopped raining and I can actually mess with it, I was able to identify where the leak was, seems its the water pump, and the best way to fix it is to get another water pump. My roommate who helped me identify the source of the leak tells me it should cost no more than $300 to fix.
Of course, anyone who knows how broke a typical retail worker is, and added to the fact that I live in San Diego and am lucky to see half of my month's pay after rent, knows that is not a fun thing.
Thankfully, the leak isn't major, yet, but my roommate recommended something to plug the leak for now. And its about time to stop the car after putting that stuff in.
And the heat is working now, a set of pliers worked wonders :) So I should have an easier trip to work today *crosses fingers*
But dang, this sure puts a crimp in saving to go visit a certain someone :(
