Another RP meme
1. Where and when did you start RPing?
Um, like don't laugh at me or anything, but AOL chat rooms playing Sailor Moon characters. That's actually why it's not too odd that I picked up Nephrite, I've played from the fandom before, just a really really long time ago.
Then after that tried a MUD, got bored fast. A friend got me into LARP and we also did tabletop off and on too, did that until 2006, tried some forum RP and then eventually moved to LJ RP. So there, my whole experience RPing, and mostly mentioning this because some answers to these questions will make a lot more sense if you know I've been RPing this long.
2. Do you RP anywhere other than LJ?
Not anymore, but I used to, see above question for what I've done.
3. Do you play in any public games?

luceti and I admit, I somehow convinced myself to reserve at sirenspull mostly because its new and slow and it seems my potential castmate is someone who can only be around weekends mostly, so it might just work for me.
4. Do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
I really don't care, but I will fully admit, it's far easier to set up a post for first person comment spam than prose logging.
5. What was the first character you ever played?
Hmm, trying to remember which one I tried to play first in the first RP I was in, but can't, so it was either Setsuna or Seiya. Yes, this may sound funny, I was far different when I was 17-18, ok?
6. Who's your favorite character to play now and why?
Yuber, and I'm sure my activity with him gives that away. He has the most threads and posts in any given month because I love playing him so much. I think a big part of it is that it does let me release some frustrations I have with people in general through him because he enjoys taunting and killing so much. Also I do admit that he and I do actually share some points of view, he is just far more extreme than I am obviously.
7. What's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
Three years, nine months. This would be the character I got my online pseudonym and username from, basically a crazy vampire who could use some damn powerful magic by the name of Nadia. In fact, I think part of why I enjoy playing Yuber so much is that it reminds me of that, like how the rumors are flying and making him seem far worse than he really is, that was something she did (like supposedly she had a ton of hit men, killed numerous people, hah, in my years of LARP I only directly killed one character, period, indirectly, oh I so lost count.)
Fandom wise, probably Jade Curtiss. Played him for about a year when you count all the games.
8. What's your biggest RP pet peeve?
Anything that can even remotely constitute cheating. That is a very sore spot for me because I lost my favorite character due to some players cheating. I've always been able to let go of a character, and the harder I make a character to kill, the more likely I am to totally give the people who bring them down kudos. Nadia was definitely one of those. She was damn good at hiding and always associated herself with people who were also like that. If someone could actually track her down, she was easy to bring down.
That's where people cheated, she shouldn't have been able to be located in that way, and then when she was, she should have been able to escape easily. True, her method of escape may have killed her also, but that was just how she worked. She'd rather die by her own hand than to be brought down by idiots.
Yes, over 5 years later I'm still somewhat bitter about it and will absolutely not tolerate that behavior. That's why I was so quick to submit a complaint when someone godmodded my character even though it was something that other people may have brushed off, but it seriously upset me because I have lost a character due to cheating.
9. Do you read RP secrets and the RP anon meme?
Yeah. Anon talk is entertaining a lot of the time but the anon who keeps griping about the FFVI cast annoys me.
10. If you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
Again, I really don't care. I do loveluceti, but I'm sure I'd have the same love even if it was community based. My love is for the players and the fact that I'm having fun, not the premise and style of a game.
11. Would you rather play with someone who's very very IC but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always IC (but not terrible) and a great writer?
12. Do you have a "RP partner"?
I'd count anyone I RP with on a somewhat consistent basis an RP partner. Tai who plays Locke is a pretty consistent one since we do thread pretty often and talk in AIM a lot.
13. Do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? Who?
I don't stalk any games outside of ones I play in, but in Luceti I definitely stalk the shit out of pretty much everyone, but admit that if I see posts from the casts I'm in, along with One Piece or BlazBlue, I'm pretty much going to be reading it. I read plenty of other posts and threads, but those ones are the consistent ones.
14. In your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
First person samples. I don't know why, but I seriously suck at writing them. I think a big part of it is the character types I play since I have been able to write one when I get a character who will actually talk more, but overall I really dislike writing them and am so glad Luceti allows you to request a Q&A instead.
15. Are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
I just want something readable. I've only really gone and customized Yuber's journal and userinfo and admit I commonly read from his flist too because it looks so nice and because his flist is usually the most up to date.
16. What was your first game?
alterresonance. A fun fact, first three games I was in on LJ ended up dying on me not too long after I joined, that one was the quickest having died about a week or so after I joined. It could explain why I now prefer larger games that have been running for a decent amount of time.
17. Are there any canons you avoid tagging characters from?
Not really. I'll tag about any post that my characters find interest in if I feel I have time to keep a thread up.

I have, I found I suck at writing it. I'd much prefer to fade to black than to try and write it out because my fail at it is so immense.
20. Do you play more males or females?
Overall, I have definitely played far more females, but now I'm tending towards more males.
21. What *won't* you RP?
I honestly think the only thing I won't RP is male/male sex. I'm awkward enough writing sex from a girl's point of view and really suck writing it from a guy's point of view. Add to that my serious unfamiliarly with that type of sex and um, yeah.
22. Dressing rooms: yes or no?
I'm really not a fan of such casual RP.dear_mun is about the closest thing I'll play in.
23. Ever RPed a pairing?
Many in fact. My vampire characters were far more likely to end up in pairings, but I've done a few in LJ RP too. Meredy/Asch is among my favorites still, just because it was so oddly adorable.

Somewhat awkward to me actually. It's more because I'm not used to it with most of my RP experience being with characters I made up and obviously no one else is going to play.
