Well, one of the fun parts about job hunting and having my resume on a site like monster.com is the absolutely desperate for someone to fill crappy positions people who contact me. Here's one I got today, it's long so I'm only going to include the relevant amusing parts (especially note the bolded parts):

I am a Recruiter with CitiFinancial, a division of Citi. I recently reviewed your resume on Monster.com and wanted to let you know about an opportunity we have in Odessa, TX, for a Branch Account Executive (Customer Service & Sales).

it then goes on to explain about the company, blah blah blah

The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, and two years directly related sales experience in a similar industry. Effective communication skills that demonstrate the ability to work directly with people in a customer service capacity. Familiarity with PC-like hardware/software, including use of the PC keyboard and mouse and be able to work flexible hours. Basic knowledge of accounting is helpful.

then some more crap on how to apply.

Now, note bolded part 1. It says they looked at my resume. All that is listed on my resume at this time is customer service in retail and telecommunications. There is 4 months in sales with AT&T. Note the requirement in #2. 2 years of sales, if the moron had read my resume he would have known I don't have that. I don't even have experience in a similar industry not sales related since most of my experience is with retail or telecommunications.

So I don't even meet the minimum qualifications, so why email me on this?

Though I do find it slightly amusing in a pathetic sort of way. It must be a really crappy job if they are emailing people who don't even meet the qualifications about it.
